“We are looking for an enthusiastic person with a passion for logistics.”
Kevin Van den Langenbergh has been active at Gosselin since 2008 and has worked his way up from warehouse worker to manager of central planning thanks to the opportunities he received within the company.
Kevin started working at Gosselin in 2008 as a warehouse worker. After about six years in various operational roles, he came into contact with the planning of containers, inland vessels, and trucks, which eventually led to the establishment of central planning, a department he now leads. “We focused on achieving efficiency, examples of which include reusing containers for import versus export and realizing modal shift. It quickly became clear that centralizing the container flow paid off, so the decision was made to also add truck and barge planning. It is fantastic to see how we have grown from a small team into a larger whole. The results we have achieved are the result of strong teamwork.”

Today, the team consists of 13 people, and Kevin sees each new addition as an opportunity to further increase efficiency. “In my role as manager, I try to be less involved operationally, unlike in my role as Team Leader. Now, I focus more on strategic matters, such as implementing new systems, maintaining partnerships, launching new sites, and continuously seeking efficiency.”
For the long term, they aim to link warehouse planning to the current planning, and he looks forward to further challenges. With growth in mind, he is therefore looking for a driven Team Leader Central Planning.
What makes a good Team Leader?
Kevin says that the right person for the role of Team Leader should be someone who can communicate clearly and enjoys variety. “We are looking for someone who is not afraid to question things, takes on challenges, and can inspire the team with enthusiasm and humor.”
Kevin knows that the new colleague will be joining a great employer. He appreciates the opportunities that Gosselin offers: plenty of room for growth, investment in development, and a healthy work-life balance with benefits such as a bike leasing plan.
