FIDI - How four little letters can make the difference for your move

When you move, you are not only relocating your closet and kitchen table, you’re moving your entire life. In order to ensure this all goes smoothly, it’s best to call in a professional. You will recognize these companies by the FIDI certificate. Gosselin Mobility Belgium is one of the companies that bears this quality seal.

What is a FIDI certificate?

FIDI (International Federation of International Movers) is the global trade organization of professional mobility companies. The federation represents over 600 moving companies in more than 100 countries. A FIDI certificate is one of the highest international quality seals a moving company can receive.

Gosselin Mobility’s office in Deurne has been the proud owner of this certificate for a few years now. The certificate was renewed once again after a recent independent screening. And since the results were impeccable, Gosselin Mobility also received the special “top performer” designation. Gosselin Mobility’s employees at Brucargo also received the certificate.

Why is the certificate so important?

Moving can often be a stressful and frightening experience, so it’s a good idea to go with an international mobility company you can trust. This trust starts when your possessions are packed up and continues until they are unpacked at your new destination. For prospects and clients, the FIDI certificate is proof that Gosselin Mobility Belgium satisfies the strictest standards in the sector. The bar continues to be set higher and higher, with new quality requirements often being added.

How do companies get these certificates?

A FIDI certificate is valid for three years, and a company can only receive it after a positive audit by the independent body EY. In order to renew it again after three years, a complete new screening is necessary. EY conducts screening of the organization, evaluating aspects such as operations, customer service and supply chain management. Suppliers and subcontractors must also satisfy quality requirements in order for the company to retain its certificate.

How do you apply FIDI requirements in practice?

Every organization that has been awarded the FIDI certificate works according to the same guidelines, the PCG (FIDI Professional Cooperation Guidelines). These guidelines prescribe how two FIDI-certified companies must work together. This results in a certain guaranteed level of quality starting from the original inquiry to the delivery at the destination. Gosselin Mobility Belgium has a sales and customer service team that is fully trained to process orders according to these PCGs.

Springwalk

Road VS Rail transport

European Logistics goes Multi-modal!

Gosselin currently launched a new trial project combining the usual road transport with train groupage in Europe. It is the perfect combination between handling large volumes, less reloads, less damage risks, and focusing on sustainability at the same time.
