Gosselin Group donates 20 computers to Ateliere Fara Frontiere

Gosselin Group employees are always happy to do their part for a good cause. We recently donated 20 computers to Ateliere Fara Frontiere, a Romanian organization that creates jobs for underprivileged people to help them with their integration in society.

Three workshops for social integration

Ateliere Fara Frontiere, or “Workshops without Borders” is a non-profit organization that gives people who are vulnerable and locked out of society the chance to integrate. They work with these underprivileged people to help them with their social, professional and civic integration. In their work, they fight poverty, unemployment, exclusion and discrimination.

Ateliere Fara Frontiere offers three integration workshops. Through their REMESH project, they collect advertising banners for recycling, making ethically responsible bags from these banners that hang along the side of the road. They are also active in organic gardening in their Bio & Co Farm, and offer vegetable packages each week to the participants in this workshop. Finally, the RECONNECT workshop helps give used IT equipment a second life. They collect computers that are donated via a national digital educational program to resource-deprived schools.

Gosselin Group was able to lend a hand when it comes to this last project. Our IT team in Belgium collected 20 used computers from the main office to send to the organization in Bucharest. After testing and reinstalling these computers, Olivier Ravon, Sales Director for Europe, presented them to Ateliere Fara Frontiere. We hope that the schools will be able to use these computers for many years to come.

Springwalk

Gosselin's 'Springwalk' was a success

Our first Seasonal Walk was a success! Almost 50 people used their lunchbreak to stretch their legs and explore some green areas around the Gosselin headquarters in Belgium. Afterwards, the participants were treated to a healthy lunch and a delicious coffee from Anywhere Coffee. This initiative is part of Gosselin's ambition to obtain the label "Sportive company". We aim for more exercise and want to motivate as many colleagues as possible to move more often!
Road VS Rail transport

European Logistics goes Multi-modal!

Gosselin currently launched a new trial project combining the usual road transport with train groupage in Europe. It is the perfect combination between handling large volumes, less reloads, less damage risks, and focusing on sustainability at the same time.
