Getting to know your international colleagues

At Gosselin, there’s a policy that states employees can work from a different country as long as there’s a Gosselin office. Jill and Daria from Belgium lengthened their vacation with a day or two and worked from the Rome office on Friday to forge some new connections.

“Recently, Daria and myself had the unique opportunity to visit the office of Gosselin Rome during our private time and it turned out to be an enlightening experience. We were greeted with warmth and Italian hospitality,” Jill says. She and Daria worked  from Italy on Friday and explored the city in the evening together with Country Manager, Barbara Savelli. “I you ever have the chance to fly in a day earlier on a city trip, seize the opportunity to visit a Gosselin office there. The connections with colleagues abroad you gain will be well worth the effort.”

The trip itself had been discussed many years ago before coming into fruition, but it’s definitely something Barbara would enjoy to do more often. “We were happy to have Jill and Daria in Rome. We moved into a larger office recently which allows us to welcome additional colleagues from other branches. We all went for a walk and drink in the evening to the Vatican and Castel Sant’Angelo. I had forgotten that Rome can make quite an impression when seeing it for the first time”, Barbara Savelli adds.

Gender equality

Gosselin signs the Declaration on equal opportunities for women and men in the transport sector

Gosselin currently employs three times more women than the transport sector average, and is still keen on ensuring gender equality within the respective fields of competence. That’s why CEO Marc Smet signed the Declaration on equal opportunities for women and men in the transport sector.
