Gosselin barge transport sees growth of 12%

The container terminal on the Albertkanaal in Deurne (Antwerp, Belgium) has grown 12% over the past 12 months. This inland terminal is closest to the Port of Antwerp on the Albertkanaal, and Gosselin Logistics has been expanding on its unique position at this location.

“We want to offer our customers a decent transport alternative for their regular, but also oversized cargo to and from the Port of Antwerp. We always consider barge transport as an option and try to avoid road transport whenever possible. Our approach is pro-active, in that we ask our customers for cargo details in advance and offer them barge transport as a valid alternative for road transport. This is our contribution to the multimodal future of Antwerp,” Dirk Vanhoutteghem explains.
