Gosselin employees with a heart of gold

Nico Mortiers, warehouse employee at Gosselin Group, is a member of the Bearded Villains. This is a worldwide brotherhood of men with beards who are dedicated to a good cause. Nico is a member of the Antwerp branch, Diamond City Charity Crew.

“Everyone is welcome, no matter where you come from or what you believe in. The only requirement is a beard,” Nico adds. They might look a bit intimidating, but these tough men have a heart of gold and are committed to helping underprivileged people in our society.

“One of the members of our Antwerp group does a lot of work for Kamiano, the aid organization for the homeless in the city. We also regularly help out there, or organize a barbecue,” says Nico. “They are constantly collecting sleeping bags and backpacks there. So, consider this an appeal to anyone who still has these materials in good condition at home that they aren’t using anymore. They can give them to me in the warehouse located at Keesinglaan 11.”

It is the perfect combination between handling large volumes, less reloads, less damage risks, and focusing on sustainability at the same time.

He's a fan of the initiative at Gosselin to focus more on movement and gladly shares his walks with colleagues.
