Moving pets in the Caucasus

Gosselin is the first moving company in the Caucasus to have Ipata certification. This means that we move pets in Georgia according to internationally respected quality standards. “This recognition will enable us to better meet customers’ demands,” says John Braeckeveldt, who manages the Gosselin offices in Georgia, Azerbaijan and Armenia.

“Moving pets is an unusually specialized service,” John says. “We had already been handling pet moves, but usually the customer was put in direct contact with the airlines. Customers ended up coming back with a lot of questions, and I felt it was an opportunity to elevate our services to a higher level. This was why I decided to apply for certification from Ipata, an international organization that provides training, know-how and guaranteed quality in the transportation of pets.”

Pets are like family members

“The major difference between a normal move of household goods is the level of attention and care for the pet. ‘Is the transport cage big enough? Can someone walk the pet during a stopover? Will it have enough to eat and drink?’

“People consider a pet to be a member of their family,” John continues. “And this is exactly how Gosselin will treat your pet during an international move, whether it’s a dog, cat or parakeet. Besides, as a moving company, you are on stand-by 24/7 during the transport of a pet. It’s intensive work but it’s also a service that is greatly appreciated.”

Ready for the future

“Since this is the first year we’ve been certified, we’re a provisional member of Ipata for now. Next year, once we’ve finished all the training programs Ipata offers, we’ll be a full member. This will make Gosselin the first moving company in Georgia that offers guaranteed quality for pets in line with internationally respected norms.”

Springwalk

Gosselin's 'Springwalk' was a success

Our first Seasonal Walk was a success! Almost 50 people used their lunchbreak to stretch their legs and explore some green areas around the Gosselin headquarters in Belgium. Afterwards, the participants were treated to a healthy lunch and a delicious coffee from Anywhere Coffee. This initiative is part of Gosselin's ambition to obtain the label "Sportive company". We aim for more exercise and want to motivate as many colleagues as possible to move more often!
Road VS Rail transport

European Logistics goes Multi-modal!

Gosselin currently launched a new trial project combining the usual road transport with train groupage in Europe. It is the perfect combination between handling large volumes, less reloads, less damage risks, and focusing on sustainability at the same time.
