Samoco/Sarens Group acquires activities of Heavy Lifting + Handling from Gosselin Group

Gosselin has made some major investments in its logistics division in recent years, with special attention for the industrial projects division through the acquisition of the Stork site (100,000 m²) at the Oosterweelsesteenweg 58 location at the Port of Antwerp and the integration of the HEAVY Group in the Gosselin Group, among other efforts.

A member of the GOSSELIN GROUP, HEAVY will continue to focus on its core business within the group, concentrating on special transport and chartering, pilot vehicles and permits, and offering total solutions for heavylifts and exceptional loads, all of which will continue to be supported by the Gosselin Group.

In order to ensure the continued growth of Lifting + Handling’s niche activity, we have decided to transfer this business division’s activities to the company SAMOCO effective June 1.   Starting on this date, this change will still allow the clients of Heavy Lifting & Handling to be assisted by the same contact people as these individuals will be Samoco employees.

Gosselin/Heavy hopes this transaction will help develop a stronger partnership for industrial moves with the Samoco/Sarens Group. This acquisition solidifies Samoco’s intentions to become the point of reference in the Belgian industrial assembly and moving market. Along with the experienced team, an electrical 60T Ormig crane will also be part of the package, representing a great investment in 2020 in addition to the recently purchased hydraulic lifting and jacking systems.

Acting as mediator between the two parties was William De Putter of De Putter & Co, Management Solutions.

ENGIE installed a 1.5 MW solar panel installation at the Gosselin site in Antwerp.
