Three Gosselin Teams at the Young Forward Cup
With no fewer than three teams (FC Gossy, FC Antwerp, and FC Giants), Gosselin was well represented at the recent Young Forward Cup. What stood out was the great mix of blue-collar and white-collar workers from different departments, who all gave their best both on and off the field.
According to sports ambassador Nicolas Lens, who is also vice-chairman of Young Forward, the team spirit was particularly striking. “It was great to see how the different Gosselin teams supported each other. That sense of unity was really strong. Plus, they played really well.”
Sports ambassador Giovanni Geladi also looks back on the event with satisfaction. “We want to encourage our colleagues to be more active. Sport is healthy, but it also brings people closer together. Initiatives like this create a positive atmosphere within the company.”
That commitment is also reflected in Gosselin’s growing sports and fitness program. “When we look at where we’ve come from, there are now quite a few activities, both within and outside the company. That’s a great development,” says Giovanni.
Their run came to an end in the knockout stage after a thrilling penalty shootout. “Unfortunately, I missed a penalty, which meant we didn’t make it to the semifinals,” Kevin Seine says with a laugh. “But other than that, everything went great.”
The overall impression? A successful event, a great venue, and, above all, a lot of enthusiasm to be back again next year.
