A liftvan full of toys

Christmas is often the time of year to pay some extra attention to those who are less fortunate. But the Romanian team puts a lot of effort into charity all year around. In 2023 they focused on several projects that all came to fruition. Among those projects was the aid of four children who are raised by their grandparents.

“About three years ago, we met four children who were abandoned by their parents and raised by their grandparents”, Laurentiu recalls. “They lived in the tiniest house with only one bedroom. Another association called Fantastic Four built them a new house which was successfully completed this year.” Last year, together with his colleagues, Laurentiu collected money to buy the family all sorts of necessities like a microwave, school supplies, furniture, but also food and so on.

This year they returned with a liftvan full of toys. “All the toys were donated by our customers. We had bicycles for all the children and a lot of stuffed animals. It was wonderful to see the joy on their faces.” The Romanian team paid for the transport themselves and try to help others as best they can, even though the personal budgets are limited. “We are like family here. We support each other.”
