Colleagues Gosselin as a team cross the finish line. On Sunday, April 24, some sporty colleagues participated in the Ten Miles, all in Gosselin attire and with broad smiles. It was the first time Gosselin was represented at this Antwerp sports event, but certainly not the last! Under the motto of 'happy colleagues in a healthy body,' Marketing and HR joined forces. About 20 runners lined up at the start in Gossy running shirts with an enthusiastic Anne Van Gils to cheer them on. "Congratulations to the Gosselin run-bassadors who made our first participation in the Antwerp Ten Miles a success. It will become an annual tradition!" said Anne.

“Als trage loper (die net iets te weinig was gaan lopen ter voorbereiding) was mijn doel de run uit te lopen onder de 2 uur en dat is gelukt, net voor de Waaslandtunnel ging het even niet meer. De vele supporters hun aanmoedigingen en grappige quotes zoals “you run better than the government” of “the end is near” gaven me net die extra push om de run met een glimlach traag uit te lopen. Het was de eerste keer dat ik meedeed, en mijn spieren zijn lang stijf geweest. Misschien moet ik me volgend jaar toch wat beter voorbereiden, want ik doe zeker opnieuw mee. Ik was ook echt onder de indruk van de organisatie en het netwerkpotentieel in het bedrijvendorp. “

“Anne heeft dat super georganiseerd en het weer was ook op de afspraak. Dat helpt natuurlijk altijd. Over het algemeen ging het vlotjes, alleen in de Waaslandtunnel was het wel erg warm. Ik vond het een heel leuk initiatief van Gosselin en zeker voor herhaling vatbaar!”

“Fantastisch om een locatie zo dicht bij de start te hebben waar we wat konden bekomen met een drankje en een babbeltje. Het kaarsje ging kilometer na kilometer een beetje meer uit dus ik was blij toen de finish in zicht was. Het warme weer maakte de lastigheidsgraad nog hoger. Maar het was leuk om met een groep collega’s voor je bedrijf op te komen, mede dankzij de goede organisatie van Anne.”

“De organisatie door Anne was top! We werden echt in de watten gelegd zowel voor als na de run. Er wordt veel gesproken over de hele zware Waaslandtunnel, maar de Kennedytunnel mag zeker niet onderschat worden. Voor mij persoonlijk is dat altijd het moeilijkste deel. Ik doe volgend jaar zeker opnieuw mee, de Antwerp Ten Miles is een van de leukste loopevenementen van het land. Hopelijk met een verdubbeling van het aantal deelnemers voor Gosselin!”

“It was the first participation in 10 miles of Antwerp for my wife and me. It's a nice feeling to be a part of the biggest running event in Belgium. We are happy with the result and the day was spent in nice company. The Gosselin organization was at a high level, which we expect in future competitions as well, but with more participants.”
