Weighing your containers at Gosselin Logistics

On July 1st 2016 an amended container weight verification regulation will be introduced globally and will apply to all exporting countries. This new regulation was outlined by the Safety of Life at Sea (SOLAS) under the request of The International Maritime Organization (IMO).

Therefore Gosselin Logistics’ facilities will be equipped with calibrated and certified scales to accommodate for the need of weighing containers early July. We encourage you to identify in advance how your cargo will be weighed.

We are also working with other service providers in the Port of Antwerp to weigh full containers. Due to the limited number of companies providing this service, some delays may be expected at the weighing stations. We suggest to book in advance.

 

Practical information about Verified Gross Mass (VGM)
We will accept the VGM in writing from the shipper either by using the VGM form or the shippers’ own form. Transmission of the data can be done by mail or fax to our operational export departments. Gosselin Logistics has adapted its IT system to transmit the information by EDI to the different carriers.

Allereerste after-work padel event een groot succes

Throwback naar vrijdag 6 maart wanneer ons allereerste after-work padel-event in het kader van Gosselin Sport plaatsvond. Bij Arenal Padel Antwerpen verzamelden maar liefst 65 enthousiaste collega’s voor een sportieve avond op en naast het terrein. Zowel ervaren spelers als collega’s die voor het eerst met padel kennismaakten, waren van de partij.

First-ever after-work padel event a huge success

Throwback to Friday, March 6, when our very first after-work padel event took place as part of Gosselin Sport. No fewer than 65 enthusiastic colleagues gathered at Arenal Padel Antwerp for a sporting evening on and off the court. Both experienced players and colleagues who were new to padel were there.
